Breaking Changes

HelpSpot 5.5.0 had breaking changes. If you are upgrading from a earlier version please review the HelpSpot 5.5.0 release notes.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug with certain saved reports.
  • Fixed a bug with some Microsoft mailboxes and a bad message ID in the email header.
  • Fixed a bug with quoting request history items that contain images that was resulting in a 500 error.

Enhancements

  • Added a command to update the language constants in custom_templates. The command is automatically run on update for any version less that or equal to 5.3.3, and can be manually run against other directories to fix custom templates in secondary portals.
  • Tweaked the SMTP settings page for oAuth (Microsoft & Google) mailboxes so they don’t accidentally accept empty SMTP values.
  • Tweaked internal settings to allow HelpSpot installations to be embedded in an iFrame on other sites. Please contact support if you’re interested in this.
